On Saturday 18th October, the Malta Historical Fencing Association took part in the Breast Health Day 2014 event organized by Europa Donna Malta. During the event, our members participated in free assaults in the courtyard of the President’s Palace in Valletta.
Breast Health Day aims to disseminate information concerning breast health and raise awareness of prevention and early detection of breast cancer among women and girls across the globe.
The weather turned out very fine on the day, and a great number of people visited the event. We were very honoured to receive a visit from Her Excellency Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca, President of Malta, under whose patronage the event was being held.
We would like to thank everyone who stopped by to watch our free assaults and talk and ask questions about our weapons and practice – it is always a pleasure to see such interest from the public. Above all, we would like to thank the organizers of Breast Health Day both for inviting us to participate in this event and for the excellent work and the effort they put into raising awareness about important health issues.
