Biography
Born in Feltre on the 4th August 1976; Claudio De Lazzer is a FISAS ACSI Black jacket and instructor at the Sala d’Arme “Walpurgis” in Belluno and the “Piero da Formicano” in the Feltre region.
Claudio De Lazzer took up historical fencing in 1999 when he joined FISAS through the Sala d’Arme “Nicoletto Giganti” of Monselice (PD), and went on to found the Sala d’Arme Walpurgis (www.walpurgis.it) in Belluno in 2005. From this time he was the main experienced student assisting Maestro Andrea Lupo “Sinclair”, head of FISAS.
Choosing to teach as well as to practice, he joined the first FISAS Instructors' Academy in 2008-2010; achieving, after his examination on the 31st January 2011, and in later years, being a qualified instructor of the FISAS system in all four weapons practiced by the organisation (longsword, sidesword, rapier and sabre). He is also researching the use of other typologies of weapons using the FISAS system as a foundation.
